The Nyarut Village Community Development Project has been benefiting the orphans, and widows alike in the immediate and extended community, by implementing charity programs that are significantly improving community health and lowering the mortality rate by providing clean drinking water, increasing community food production, and increasing availability and quality of education. The building of medical facilities is currently in progress, and the promoting and seeding of business opportunities, enabling long term self-sustainability, is planned for the future.
In early 2010, this Charity Project will expand to Nyangina Village, a 2 hour drive from Nyarut. This village has needs parallel to those of Nyarut. A team of volunteer Canadian engineers and assistants from Engineering Ministries International will do an assessment and a community development plan will be drawn up. Save-a-Village charity, volunteers and donors will attempt to meet the need to implement their recommendations as expediently as possible.
